At Berger Primary School we strive to support all children to enable them to achieve well in school. In order to do this many steps are taken to support them through their learning journey.

Quality first teaching is vital; however for some children there are occasions when further additional support may be needed to help them achieve their targets.

At Berger we take responsibility for Inclusion under the leadership of:

Head Teacher - Yusuf Gleason

Deputy Head Teacher - Nathalie Marshall

Assistant Head Teachers - Emma Morgan & Julie Barry

Our Inclusion Team Manager is - Laura Bazell

Our SENco is- Tania Pope

Our Inclusion Governor is - Pauline Miller

At Berger Primary School we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), staff and all those receiving services from the school. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which people feel free to disclose their SEND needs and participate fully in school life.

The achievement of all pupils including those with SEND will be monitored and we will use this data to raise standards and ensure inclusive teaching. We will make reasonable adjustments to make sure the school environment is as accessible as possible.

At Berger we believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach or visit our school.
