Today a new group of children took part in forest school sessions. They had a chance to explore the forest school environment. They hunted for bugs, dug for worms and climbed as high as they could in the tree. We were very lucky that lots of parents were able to come with us.
Children worked on maths skills whilst matching and sorting leaves that were a similar shape, size or colour. They also enjoyed hunting for bugs and mud painting.
Today we thought about habitats. Children experimented with different materials and made homes for different forest creatures. It was a wet and windy day so we made a shelter to keep dry whilst we had hot chocolate and biscuits.
