26th September: Monument trip
Poplar class braved the rain and went to visit Pudding Lane where the Great Fire of London started. They also went up 311 steps to the top of the Monument. Learning outside of the classroom is fun!
4th October: Making Quills and writing with them
Poplar class made quills and tried to write and draw with them. This is because Samuel Pepys wrote about the Great Fire of London in his diary. In those days people used quills to write with.
1st October: Making silhouettes of a skyline with a marble background
Poplar class did some marbling and cut out silhouettes of a London skyline to make amazing visual art pieces.
10th September: WOW day about the Great Fire of London
Poplar class enjoyed lots of acting, cooking, music and dance for our WOW day. We ended the day by making a chain to help put out a pretend fire.
