We had a great time participating in a music workshop for our project all about the story: An Invite from the Queen. We made our own instruments and designed our own fruits!
Forest School
We had our very last forest school where we had lots of fun exploring!
Islamic Art
As part of our RE topic, we printed Islamic tiles with our very own Islamic art designs.
Resist Art
As part of our topic; Our Local Area: Hackney, we viewed satellite images of the area and discussed the physical and human features found nearby. We created maps using chalk, oil pastel and watercolours of our local area.
Giuseppe Arcimboldo
We created fruit and vegetable face portraits inspired by the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
We are Researchers
As part of our Computing topic, we conducted some research on Google to find out about our local area. We came up with questions to search to find answers and gather more information about Hackney.
Alma Thomas
We created art work using repetitive patterns and shapes inspired by the famous artist Alma Thomas.
Sandwich Instructions
We followed instructions to make cucumber sandwiches. We then wrote our own set of instructions on how to make a sandwich.
The Last Supper
We had another great drama session where we acted out the Last Supper. We talked about what Jesus shared with his disciples and what his teachings were for all believers.
Palm Sunday
We re-enacted Palm Sunday with our palm leaves as part of our RE topic of why Christians celebrate Easter.
Weather presenters
We presented the daily and weekly patterns of the UK through ‘Berger weather.’
Animations
We created animations on J2e to show the climates of the world. We chose backgrounds and animals suited to the different climates (hot/cold).
Storytelling through drama…
We retold the story; Lila and the Secret of Rain through role play and freeze frames.
Salt dough maps
As part of our topic, we created salt dough maps of the UK to show the 4 countries and capital cities of the UK.
We are e-communicators!
In our Computing lessons, we learned how to access Gmail, to compose, send and open emails.
World Book Day 2023
We had great fun on World Book Day, getting dressed up and participating in world book day activities.

Paper plate maps
As part of our WOW day for our new topic: UK in the World, we made paper plate maps to show the 7 continents and 5 oceans of the world.
Willow market!
As a class, we read the story; Grace and Family. Grace visited a marketplace in Africa. We also had a chance to visit our very own market in Willow class, to help us with some descriptive writing. We made up our own stalls and created shopping lists.
Making a vegetable patch
In PSHE, we learned about where different fruits and vegetables come from and how they grow. We made our own vegetable/fruit patch by printing different fruits and vegetables.
